Safer Drivers, Safer Riders and Safer Horses | Online talk

12 Apr 2022

12 Apr 2022 | 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Do you ride or drive on the road? Do you ride on the pavement, ride two abreast, use a mobile when riding a horse?

Have you suffered from road rage and dangerous driving? Have you had issues with dogs when riding? Or maybe you're a cyclist, runner, walker, or other vulnerable road user experiencing the same issues?

Keen to learn more about riding and road safety, how to report incidents and ensure you are as safe as possible and covered in the event of an accident?

BHS Cheshire invites all horse riders, and other road users to join us on our virtual talk to hear answers to all these questions and more. This session will take you through:

  • What is the BHS doing to improve road safety for equestrians from BHS Director of Safety Alan Hiscox.
  • A Police perspective from Cheshire Police's Rural Crimes Team.
  • Cathryn Godfrey, Personal Injury Lawyer will take you through the legal considerations after being involved in an incident on the road with your horse.

This event is free for all to attend but we would appreciate any donations to support the BHS Dead Slow Campaign, find out more about our commitment to stop riders, drivers and horses from losing their lives on the roads here: www.bhs.org.uk/dead-slow.
