A bit about me...

"I have been riding since I was 9 years old but only got my first horse in my 40's - after my daughter had her first horse.

I became involved with Access in 2006 with the local bridleways group when we successfully applied for a bridleway upgrade based on user evidence on our one and only local PROW which was a footpath. We were supported by the BHS in that application and it was a steep learning curve. That application took 10 years from start to finish including a PI because of just one objector!

I realised how important it is for future generations that we ensure the same, or if possible, better access to the countryside is available to them. It is important to me because of the sheer inequality that horse riders face compared with other user groups. There are historic wrongs which need to be righted and mindsets changed to ensure equestrian inclusion in the future.

To sum up horses in three words: Friend, happy, love. (Mostly!)"
