We need your support to protect you and the horses in your life. A new Bill – the Road Traffic (Horse and Rider Safety) Bill, introduced by MP Lee Dillon – is making its way through Parliament. If passed, it could help save lives and prevent countless collisions involving horses on the road.
You may remember that in May, we partnered with Project EDWARD (Every Day Without a Road Death) to highlight what it’s really like to be a horse or rider navigating traffic. Our ride from Lambourn to Windsor, joined by MP Lee Dillon, helped raise awareness around the Highway Code guidance and the need for safer driving behaviour around horses.
We’re thrilled that it’s led to this significant Bill, which represents a meaningful opportunity for real change.
We’re now asking you to write to your MP (through letter or email), urging them to support the Bill. To make it easy, we’ve included a template below that you can copy, personalise and send.
Every message counts. The more MPs hear from us, the greater the chance this Bill will have to move forward and protect horses, riders and drivers.
