The series consists of four innovative Masterclasses from the very best in the equestrian world with the final programme in the series being a discussion with the coaches. Watch out for some of our special guests with top riders from across the disciplines featuring in every episode.
Each programme is presented by a Fellow of The British Horse Society and focusses on one of their top training topics. With something for everyone, regardless of your level of riding or ambition, we know you will be keen to get out and try out some of their top tips.
Yogi Breisner FBHS: Reaching for pole position
All proceeds will support the BHS Changing Lives through Horses programme.
Improve your balance and accuracy with the pole work exercises Yogi Breisner FBHS created for our riders or set yourself the challenge of recreating the perfect performance of the full pole work test as demonstrated by top event rider Laura Collett riding her Pau winner, London 52.
Regardless of your level of riding or ambition, Yogi’s guidance will be an inspiration to you.
With lots of exercises to choose from there will be something for you and your horse whatever your ambition. Why not download your very own copy of Yogi Bresiner’s 'Reaching for pole position' dressage test and give it a go at home.
Richard Davison FBHS: Lateral learning
Looking to get more out of your lateral work or just starting your sideways journey then Richard Davison’s Masterclass is the place for you.
Think lateral work is just for dressage riders? Then think again as Richard shows how lateral work can improve every aspect of your horse’s performance from hacking out to shaving off seconds in the jump off.
Caroline Moore FBHS: Three steps to success
Using arena eventing fences, including slopes and an exciting water complex, Caroline introduced us to her three-step process; training to learn, training to compete and training to win.
For the final section of the programme, training to win, she was joined by Ros Canter and her World Championship Horse Allstar B for a masterclass in exactly how to get it right!
Erik Mackechnie-Guire FBHS: Learning without limits
In this episode Erik worked with recreational and para riders with limiting factors caused by accident and illnesses to show there really are no limits when you have the will to succeed.
Erik has more than 20 years’ experience working with high performance athletes including as a coach with the Team GBR Para-equestrian Dressage team and as Para-equestrian High Performance Manager with Team Australia. In May 2019 he was appointed as the BEF’s new Pathway Manager for Para-equestrian dressage.
Erik has competed up to Advanced level in dressage and is also an RDA Dressage Representative. In 2020 Erik was made a Fellow of the British Horse Society.
