Lisa Spence BHSI set up Hemps Green Equestrian approximately 10 years ago when working as a training and assessment consultant delivering equestrian apprenticeships in the work place.
During this time she became aware there was a distinct need to bridge the gap between the local riding school and horse ownership.
She felt there was a need to provide a more forward going competition type horse for established equestrians to further their education, whether this be professional and via the BHS assessment system or assisting those making their way, or returning to, the world of equestrian competition.
The centre mostly provides private tuition which is tailored to the needs of each individual, the speed of progression bespoke to you. Lisa's wealth of experience in the equine industry as a coach and an active competition rider, is what sets her aside, and makes Hemps Green Equestrian unique with the services that it provides.
Group sessions are also available aimed specifically towards BHS stages and preparation for competition. Clinics with visiting qualified competition coaches are run regularly and are accessible to all, both with and without their own horse.
A share system is in action which allows all the benefits of horse ownership on a part time basis. With on-site competitions in dressage, show jumping and arena eventing, the opportunity to compete is available to all.
The rural location makes Hemps Green and ideal location to simply hack on forward going horses in beautiful countryside, closely located to AOB Bures St Mary.
A free train collection from Marks Tey on the Liverpool Street line makes us accessible to those travelling from London, within the hour.
In 2023, Hemps Green Equestrian was voted Seib small riding school of the year! Come and find out why!
