About us

Bransby Horses is one of the UK’s largest equine welfare charities dedicated to improving the lives of horses, ponies, donkeys and mules and relies solely on support from the general public.
Founded in 1968 by Mr Peter Hunt, Bransby Horses is dedicated to improving the lives of horses, ponies, donkeys and mules through education, rehabilitation, rehoming and rescue.

Bransby Horses is thriving over five decades since it was founded thanks to amazing public support in the form of donations and the wonderful people who leave a legacy in their will.

As well as over 300 equines on site the charity has around 500 horses and ponies in foster homes.

As part of the charity's rehabilitation scheme they train and prepare equines for new lives, either as a ridden horse or field companion for another.

The Bransby Family Fosterers are essential to helping them continue their welfare work through their Perfect Partner rehoming scheme.

Bransby Horses also offer free, non-judgemental advice and support promoting the proper care of equines.

Members of the public can speak to one of their experts on 01427 788 464 or mail@bransbyhorses.co.uk

The charity holds regular Horse Owner Evenings where guest speakers share their wealth of expertise – see their events page on the main Bransby Horses website and social media channels for upcoming dates.
