About Me

Hi I'm a coach based near Ilkley, West YorkshireI have 40 years experience of all aspects of equestrian activities.
I have ridden to 3 * level eventing , foxhunter showjumping and am currently riding at advanced level dressage with my current horse.
I have also ridden and shown at county level ( hunters/ workers) and have experience working with racehorses.
I love working with young horses and have done this many times over. I am now concentrating on dressage with my current horse, an ex show jumper.
I have been an accredited pony club coach for over 15 years teaching everything from mounted games to general rallies and camp. I later specialised in dressage coaching preparing all levels of riders for area competitions.
I have also been a listed dressage judge for over 20 years and am currently upgrading to the next list level.
Having recently gained my BHS accreditation I am very keen to use my many years experience and knowledge to help riders achieve their dreams.
I am happy working with riders of all ages in any discipline. I am enthusiastic, reliable and love to see riders developing a real partnership with their horses. I try and encourage progressive training making sure the basics are in place to enable riders to confidently achieve their goals.
And I am constantly updating my own knowledge through the BHS and British Dressage and continue to train with top coaches myself with my horse, so I can ride to the best of my ability.
There is always time to learn
