For the last 30 years I have been producing and competing event horses on behalf of owners and clients alongside my teaching. As well as treating every horse as if it were my own I enjoyed sharing with the owner (often the breeder too) in a fun and inclusive way, the development and journey of their horses. In recent years I have been focusing on coaching and mentoring riders with an emphasis on biomechanics and communication of horse and rider both competitive and non competitive.
I have been lucky enough to have had access to some top class training over the years, both in dressage and jumping, including being a member of Training the Teachers of Tomorrow for 23 years riding on both the jumping clinics and International dressage clinics. Continuing my professional development is a key part of my work diary. In 2018 I put myself forward for the British SJ UKCC and the course designer assessment and in 2019 the Professional Accredited Coach Stage 4 senior coach, passing all 3. This year, 2022, I have successfully gained The Centre 10 Applied psychology for Equestrian Coaches.
