About Us
We consider the needs of each individual and provide a programme that encourages them to reach their potential, both socially, and academically. Participants will get hands on practical experience with ponies and a range of other animals to include grooming, stable management, feeding and complete other sensory tasks that help to learn about animal behaviours, movements and anatomy. The pace of the activities is adapted based on how the participant responds and how comfortable they are feeling. Sessions are linked to special needs and personal targets that are provided by parents, guardians, or educational settings. Referral forms are used to gain an understanding of the individual’s needs, and we always welcome feedback to help us improve. We maintain clear lines of communication to ensure all are involved in the individual’s progress, and where required we are able to provide progress reports.
Our animals provide sensory support, a focus, and help to practice skills learnt during sessions. As many animals are herd orientated and need friends like humans do, they want to create bonds so are inclined to develop a relationship with those they work with, providing a vast opportunity for growth.
Sessions are carried out by our friendly team of qualified staff who work hard to create an enjoyable atmosphere. They possess comprehensive first aid training and hold qualifications in teaching and, or animal-assisted therapy. Furthermore, all of our staff on-site are required to pass an enhanced DBS check, to ensure the highest level of safety and security for our valued visitors.
Our mission is to deliver quality and consistent support to help people gain achievements and ongoing personal development.
