Carmen Shah

I have 30 years coaching experience across all disciplines.

I have several clients competing successfully in BE as well as Bd and Bs & numerous children who take part in pony club and local shows.

I feel very privileged to work with all sizes and levels of horses and ponies, lead rein upwards!

I believe in the ‘basics‘ being correct whatever the discipline and positive reinforcement. I really focus on confidence building for the horse and the rider and above all, the work must be fun and positive for all involved with achievable goals.

Qualifications

  • BHS Stage 4 Senior Coach or equivalent

About me

I started riding when I was 2 at a local riding school and definitely got the horsey addiction. As a small lightweight rider I start, school and train ponies particularly first ridden / M&M /WHP and have experience at HOYS and RI level. I am also a Bd recognised coach.

I currently compete my own homebred horse at elementary Bd and we enjoy combined training comps. My son has a Welsh sec a who we produce together and does all pony club activities.

I compete clients horses too and have been lucky enough to qualify for the summer nationals 2019 and winter petplan finals 2020.
