Equine Travel Safety – Free Information Evening

7 Oct 2020

BHS Hampshire are delighted to have Anton Phillips, from the Hampshire Large Animal Rescue leading three different topics this year. Anton will be walking audiences through the different risks and how to prevent as many of them as possible.

All the talks are being held in Hampshire Fire Stations by kind permission of Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service. For this reason we are unable to accept entries on the door, tickets must be booked in advance – and they are free!

Equine Travel Safety:

Whether competing or going out to enjoy another part of the countryside, travelling horses is increasing.  From small trailers to HGV’s there are so many styles of transport that need to suit our lifestyles and our horses.  But how do we know we have picked the right thing? And that it is safe? This talk will help keep you and your horses safe when travelling, with examples of where things have gone wrong, how to spot potential dangers, and give advice on how to avoid damaging our horses and ourselves.

Time: 6.30pm for 7pm start and 9pm finish.
