Find out all this and more, brush up your equine first aid knowledge , and learn how to keep yourself safe in the event of an accident whilst ensuring the horse has the best possible chance of recovery. First aid, particularly in the event of a serious accident, is a vital skill for all those who spend time around horses.
About Nicky Housby Skeggs:
Nicky Housby Skeggs began her equine veterinary career with The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery and The Household Cavalry, and has since worked in equine practice in the civilian world before joining The Horse Trust as Veterinary Director. She was instrumental in the development of formal training in large animal rescue with the British Animal Rescue and Trauma Care Association (BARTA) alongside Hampshire Fire and Rescue. She has huge experience in equine first aid and plenty of wisdom to share in how owners can best help their horses whilst waiting for the vet to arrive.
