Lee Clark Demonstration Core Stability (Equine & Human)
Now the nights are getting lighter and the days warmer, spring is in the air, it's time to think about core stability in both ourselves and our horses. Core stability is the name given to the strength of the muscles surrounding the back and abdomen. A strong core supports the back and gives a solid foundation for correct balance and movement, it supports the spine and reduces wear and tear on the joints.
For riders a strong core is essential, as an engaged core holds us in lateral and longitudinal balance and gives our seat stability.
Why not join us as Lee demonstrates exercises to help improve core stability in horse and rider.
Lee is a Chartered Physiotherapist and ACPAT trained Veterinary Physiotherapist with over 20 years’ experience in treating horses and riders at the very top level including GBR Endurance Team and GBR Pony Eventing Team.
There will be an opportunity to try out some of the exercises for yourself, ponies kindly provided by Claire Robinson however if you'd like to try out some of the human exercises then please bring a mat with you.
The session will be in the indoor school so wrap up warm!
