Introduction to Side Saddle

11 Sept 2019 19:00 - 09:30

BHS South Lincolnshire invite you to an introduction to side saddle evening with Nadya Brown (BHSAI, Intermediate Teaching, Stage IV Stable Manager, SSA qualified).

Get a taste of this elegant riding style with a potted history and tuition from a member of the Side Saddle Association.

Once upon a time, lady riders always rode side saddle - whether a gentle hack in the park or riding to hounds - until riding astride became acceptable. These days, side saddle riding is enjoying a revival, with many riders choosing to ride this way again or as a useful alternative for those who are unable to ride astride.

Nadya will explain a little about the history of side saddle riding and then each delegate will be assigned a personal tuition slot as part of the demonstration on ‘Bolt’, the mechanical horse.

Please wear something practical (or riding habit…!) and bring an approved riding hat.

Talk followed by simulator sessions on ‘Bolt’ the mechanical horse start at 7.00pm.

Cost £10 per person

As places are strictly limited please email Tracey Houghton for more details and to book your place early to avoid disappointment.
