About North Lancashire Bridleways Society (NLBS)

North Lancashire Bridleways Society (NLBS) is a thriving society which has been running for over 20 years and has over 200 members. They cover the areas of North Lancashire and South Cumbria.

North Lancashire Bridleways Society organise very well-attended bi-monthly meetings with guest speakers as well as a variety of fundraising events, such as pleasure rides and tack sales.

The group have made improvements to many bridleways by paying for new gates and fixings and by clearing overgrown vegetation.

North Lancashire Bridleways Society have improved access around the area including negotiation access to the Lune Millennium Way and to the canal towpath between Bolton-le-Sands and Carnforth. They also pay for research into routes that have lost rider access, as well as potential new routes.

Visit the NLBS website to learn more.

Area covered: North Lancashire - north from Garstang to the Cumbrian border. NLBS work with Cumbria Bridleways Society to cover South Cumbria.
