Leave a Legacy to The British Horse Society

Why leave us a gift in your will?
If, like us, you have a passion for horses, you almost certainly have an album of evocative memories connected to them. An exhilarating gallop across a deserted beach at sunset. A tranquil trot through a cool, sun-dappled forest. The first time you noticed a quirky characteristic of your horse’s personality.
We would like you to consider turning those priceless memories into a lasting legacy for all horses and riders. As a charity, we simply wouldn’t be able to carry out the work we do without gifts bequeathed to us in wills. Your donation would go towards ensuring future generations of riders can enjoy the same passion for riding, and helping vulnerable horses.
By leaving a legacy to us, you can help us to achieve changes that are important to you at a national and local level. Your money could help to keep your favourite bridleway open; or improve awareness of horse and pony safety in drivers in your area; or ensure your horses and those local to you are less at risk from the spread of equine diseases.
Martin Clunes supports the work of the BHS as its new President says:
“I greatly admire and appreciate the work The British Horse Society does. The issues that the charity campaigns for so successfully are very close to my heart.
Legacies are incredibly important to the BHS. Don’t assume any charity is financially secure; it must rely heavily on donations and bequests if it is to be effective.
You have the chance to put back into your relationship with horses what horses have given you, and leave a legacy to The British Horse Society.”
