Ulster Rural Riders Association

Centred in County Down, the only BHS Bridleway Group in Northern Ireland, Ulster Rural Riders Association was formed in 1988, with two aims:

  • To Promote the creation of bridleways to enable riders to ride in the countryside in safety.
  • To inform motorists of the special needs of horses on the roads, and riders in the proper use of both roads and bridleways.

Also, to suplement countryside access, we provide several Pleasure Rides each year, both on private land and in Forest-Service and council owned Country Parks.

At present we are helping re-assert bridleways in North down with evidence forms from our members and contacts.
