Ride Out UK Month

Ride Out UK

Kindly sponsored by Thorowgood

Saddle up and explore the scenic route...

Ride Out UK Month 2018 is kindly sponsored by Thorowgood and it's all about raising awareness of off-road riding and applauding the fantastic efforts of the BHS volunteers, local authorities and organisations who protect and restore multi-user routes across the UK.

This May, why not saddle up, enjoy a day out with your horse and raise money for the BHS Paths for Communities Fund to help us to do more in your local area!

Competitions to win a Thorowgood Saddle

Thorowgood is kindly sponsoring our Ride Out UK Month 2018 and this year sees the return of our fundraising and photography competitions. This year is our Platinum Anniversary and to celebrate we are giving away FIVE Thorowgood Saddle, worth up to £645 and fitted by a qualified SMS saddler, to five lucky winners.

To register

Please email access@bhs.org.uk and pledge or raise £15. You will receive your fundraising pack so you can start riding. Set your own goal and track your hacks using an app on a smart phone (for example Map My Ride or Endomondo) and email access@bhs.org.uk the GPX file when you're done! Participants will receive a platinum rosette and certificate to say thank you.

70km Platinum Challenge

In our 70th year, we are challenging riders and carriage drivers to hack 70km during May and raise £70 for our Paths for Communities Fund. You don't need to do it all in one go; instead you can record your hacks using an app and send the GPX files to access@bhs.org.uk

For help downloading your GPX files, please see Endomondo's handy guide

Endurance GB

Endurance GB are supporting BHS Ride out Month. As Endurance riders, this cause is really important to them. So, this May they are asking their members to saddle up, enjoy a day out with their horse and raise money for the BHS Paths for Communities Fund.  Mileage gained at non-competitive EGB rides can be counted, as can any riding/hacking completed in preparation for competitions. We thank Endurance GB members in advance for their involvement and to find out more visit www.endurancegb.co.uk.
