International Coaching Convention 2018

International Convention 2018

We are pleased to announce that as part of our Platinum Year celebrations in 2018, we are joining our National Coaching Convention with our Safety and Welfare Conferences for a bigger better International Coaching Convention. Riding Out will also be featured throughout the convention and there will be an opportunity to visit our dedicated Riding Out Stand.

Two Events

This year the event will be taking place at:

Hartpury College, Gloucestershire on 26-28 March

Myerscough College, Lancashire on 16 - 18 April.

The International Coaching Convention is a three day event, with each day focusing on a different subject:

Day 1: Coaching the Rider - correct progression from Stage 1 to 5, fitness, goal setting, mind set and the effect the rider has on the horse.

Day 2: Training the Horse - groundwork, foundations, principles of training, tack, the correct coach and partnership, fattening and nutrition.

Day 3: Welfare of the Horse and Safety of the Rider - de-sensitisation, problem solving, loading, handling, training and riding out.

What to expect

  • Top tips to improve your coaching techniques.
  • Share ideas and best practice as part of the largest professional equine coaching community in the UK.
  • Learn about welfare best practices for your horse and how to keep yourself safe when riding.

The International Coaching Convention will be bigger and better, and this year we have a fantastic line up of speakers including Christoph Hess, Sam York, Chris Bartle FBHS and Charlie Unwin.
