Volunteer Resources

Thank you for volunteering with The British Horse Society. Your time is valued and your expertise appreciated.

We hope that this page and the resources on it will help make your time volunteering with us easier. We are always working to improve our volunteer journey but we would not be where we are now without the spectacular support we have recieved from our dedicated volunteers over the last 70 years. Thank You.

This page contains volunteer resources for BHS Volunteer Officers. If you are not currently a BHS Volunteer Officer and are looking for information about volunteering, please go to our main Volunteer Pages.

You will be able to find the latest documents and resources relevant to BHS Volunteer officers via the menu to the left of this page. Please note that some resources are only available on request from the relevant department. If you don't see what you're looking for here please contact your Role Coordinator or the Volunteer Manager.

If you have any questions about resources or require further information, please contact our Volunteer Manager at volunteer@bhs.org.uk. Please note that all our Volunteer Policies and our Handbook are to be reviewed each year in November, if you have any suggestions for improvement or things to be added please do let the Volunteer Manager know.

A message from our Chairman of the Trustee Board, David Sheerin.

Volunteer Newsletters

Each quarter we put out a Volunteer Newsletter. These are a great opportunity to tell our volunteers what different teams have been doing around the country, often there are best practices we can learn from or ideas we can take on locally.

More newsletters can be found in our Recent Volunteer Updates folder on the left.
