Hot on the hooves of the previous guided ride Telford Bridleways Association took another ride in and around Ironbridge on Sunday 17 November.
Eleven riders started from the aptly named village of Horsehay to ride some of the old lanes and bridleways in the area taking in parts of the Silkin Way and the Severn Way. Chair of the Association, Anthony Francis-Jones commented, “It is always a thrill to take riders in and around this area with its great heritage of pit and plate-way ponies and especially to ride over the Iron Bridge.”
Next year will see a full programme of guided rides in and around the green spaces of Telford and its environs. All those taking part get a rosette and the funds raised go towards local bridleways and access projects.
