Telford Bridleways Association led another of their hugely successful guided rides on Sunday 9 June from The Granville Park near Donnington.
The ride was for all abilities and an interesting green but urban route was chosen to take in local bridleways and green spaces including The Nabb at Wrockwardine Wood and Priorslee Lake.
A record number of riders showed up and it was quite a sight to see 24 horses riding through Telford! Riders coped well with open spaces, horse step-overs, tight squeezes, and underpasses to name just a few of the ‘obstacles’ on route.
Anthony Francis-Jones, the leader of the ride comments that, “It is a great way to build yours and your horses confidence when we ride in a group – the horses all learn from the other more confident ones. You will be amazed by what you can achieve on a 10 mile hack like this and how beautiful even urban riding can be.”
Telford Bridleways rides are all advertised on Facebook and the next one will take in the beautiful Wrekin Forest. All funds raised go to improving access and bridleways in the local area.
