Easter Sunday saw Telford Horse Riding and Access’ hugely successful children’s fancy-dress ride take place in Town Park, Telford. 23 young riders and ponies dressed with an Easter theme hunted for Easter eggs on a two-mile route around the new bridleways within Town Park. Anthony Francis-Jones, Chairman of Telford Horse Riding and Access commented, “It was wonderful to see all the children having such a fantastic time on their ponies exploring the wonderful rights of way that Telford and Wrekin Council have created in Town Park. It was a true family event with parents leading ponies and others following on foot. What a great way to spend Easter Sunday! All money raised goes to the Birmingham Children’s Hospital who have done wonderful work in treating one of our brave young riders.”
Telford Horse Riding and Access campaigns for improved off-road access and run popular guided rides showcasing the great routes that we have in and around Telford. The next ride is for adults on 24th April and will take in the iconic Iron Bridge.
