Success for Byway Repair in Hampshire

Early in 2016 Hants County Council approached Loddon Vale TRF asking if they would be prepared to assist in repairing Byway 23 Pidham Lane at Langrish, Petersfield using a grant which should be allocated to landowners to repair Rights of Way crossing their land.

No landowners had taken this up and the rules are these funds have to be used by the following April or the funds go back to central government. The group decided to go ahead and the result was a great success!

The article, courtesy of the Loddon Vale Trail Riders Fellowship, gives a great example of other rights of way user groups working to repair routes.
