This is a fantastic opportunity to Raise Your Confidence, Raise Your Game! The camp will take place from Friday 7 October to Sunday 9 October 2016.
This camp is open to BHS Members and is limited to 12 places, secured by deposit on a first-come-first-served basis. The camp is open to riders of all levels, who will be grouped accordingly for ridden sessions, and the focus of the camp is to “raise your confidence, raise your game”! The BHS camp has been designed to help you do just that, by using instructors who are passionate about helping riders and know how to inspire confidence, and by giving each rider a one-to-one session with a sports psychologist to give them the mental tools to work on their confidence both in the immediate and longer term.
Whether you want to gain the confidence to ride your first unaffiliated dressage test, to ride in open fields without nerves, move up from BE100 to Novice, or simply get to know a new horse, our coaches are here to help you – a confident partnership between horse and rider is key to improving your skills, whether it’s to realise your competitive aims or simply to ride better at home.
The camp will take place Checkendon Equestrian Centre.
The basic cost is £230 per rider, to include all lessons, hacks, talks, sports psychology and yoga sessions, plus lunches and refreshments. Then you just need to choose your preferred accommodation options (see above) and add the cost of these. For example, two nights stabling for your horse and dormitory bed for you would be £70, making the total price £300, while staying for one night with turnout for your horse and you staying in your horsebox would be £15, making a total of £245.
