The BHS Berkshire committee is delighted to announce the launch of its 2014 training bursary. A prize pot of £1000, put up jointly by BHS Berkshire and Checkendon Equestrian Centre, which is supporting the bursary, will be split between a maximum of four lucky winners.
The bursary is open to anyone training for their BHS Stage 1 or above in riding or stable management. Applicants must be BHS members, and must live within the Berkshire / RG postcode area.
Applying for the bursary is a simple process - there is an application form to complete, which must be received by 28 March, then a shortlist of potential recipients will be drawn up. The shortlisted candidates will be invited to give a presentation to a panel on 14 April, during which they must show their equine career plans and goals, and how the funds will benefit them in furthering their career.
The bursary will be distributed to one, two, three or four candidates as the panel decides, and must be spent on training at a BHS Approved Riding School or with a BHS Registered Instructor in the Berkshire / RG postcode area.
In the first instance, please contact Linda Tarrant at Checkendon Equestrian Centre for an application form (contact details on the right).
