The BHS Wiltshire Annual meeting was held at the Bird and Carter Farm Shop and Cafe on Thursday 3 October. The committee was delighted to welcome the Chief Executive of the BHS, Lynn Petersen, to the meeting and reported on everything that they had acheived during the past year on behalf of the Society.
Following the meeting, Lynn was delighted to present Jan McKernan with a Long Service award for 10 years as a volunteer for the BHS. Jan joined the Wiltshire committee in 2003 as Secretary and took over the role of Chairman in 2008.
Lynn then gave an inspirational presentation on her plans for the Society for the future. New members of staff, IT modernisation and a strategic plan for the work of the Society will mean that the members who support us should be proud to be a part of this great organisation.
The BHS Wiltshire Committe have a number of vacancies for volunteers so if you want to get involved with maintaining and improving the off road riding network, have the dedication to become a Welfare Officer or have good organisational skills to arrange educational days or events we would love to hear from you. All of the vacancies are listed on our website.
