It's that time of year - BHS Scotland wants you to nominate your Favourite Instructor and Equine Personality of 2016!

To nominate your favourite riding instructor of the year, who must be on the BHS Register of Instructors or an Accredited Professional Coach, you are simply asked to send their name and a short statement (no more than 50 words) describing why your instructor is the best. Previous winners cannot be nominated a second time.
This is a great opportunity for those instructors who are out teaching their pupils in all weathers in all types of schools.  It's not just for the upper echelons, but for the grass roots instructors where most of the BHS and Riding Club members and their horses get their education.
The instructor with the most votes wins. BHS Scotland Chairman, Derek Knottenbelt said: "This trophy will recognise instructors who are kind, enthusiastic and inspiring and also those who pass on wisdom and produce results, anyone winning the Farney Grange Trophy will indeed be honoured and BHS Scotland is pleased to be able to administer such a positive prize that recognises excellence."
Nominations for the 2016 winner should be sent to: BHS Scotland, Woodburn, Crieff, Perthshire PH7 3RG - For the Attention of The Chairman - and should be received by the 1st December 2016.
The award will be formally presented at the BHS Scotland AGM 2016.

Five years ago a beautiful new trophy of a horses head in bronze was presented to the ‘BHS Scotland Equine Personality of the Year’ and currently BHS Scotland is seeking nominations for 2016. The Tarragon Trophy named in honour of the first winner Fiona Busby’s Prix St George Connemara Pony ‘Tarragon’ who was orphaned  by grass sickness and who has gone on to provide years of pleasure to the Busby family.
Anyone can nominate any horse and all you need to do is write 250 words explaining why the horse or pony is a great character or what the subject does for others or an illustration of an equine overcoming great hardship. Please send your nominations to BHS Scotland, by 1st December 2016
