Great news for Merseyside equestrians

5 June 2013

The British Horse Society (BHS) has negotiated a license to ride on the Cronton Colliery site in Knowsley.

As featured on BBC Radio Merseyside, the site offers six miles of uninterrupted riding across 120 acres of reclaimed coal tips, providing safe off-road riding on marked tracks through woods, over plateaus and up and down hill climbs.

Join us on a guided ride...

The BHS Merseyside Committee is organising regular led-rides around the site. JOIN US every second Sunday and third Saturday of the month at 10.30am for a 90 minute led-ride around the site in walk and trot.

The ride will cost £10 per rider and all riders must have proof of public liability insurance
to take part. ‘Cronton Ride’ rosettes will be presented to all those taking part.

The site benefits from excellent motorway access, being conveniently located at the junction of M57 and M62. Safe and secure box parking is also available on hard standing.

Private bookings also available...

The Cronton Colliery site is also available for group bookings and for other organised equestrian activities outside of these dates. To book a place on a ride or to find out further information about hire, please tel: 07969 497048 or e-mail:
