England’s Rights of Way network is a wonderful amenity enabling walkers, cyclists and equestrians to access the benefits of our beautiful countryside. Its safe, off road routes provide a valuable resource for recreation and sustainable transport together with health benefits for all. SDBG invites anyone interested in countryside access to attend this talk with a view to user groups, local authorities, historians and others working together to seek out, record and preserve our unrecorded highways before they are lost.
Please note, 1 January 2026 is the cut-off date established by the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 when unrecorded pre-1949 Rights of Way will cease to exist.
