When Hayden Middleton tragically died in a road traffic accident 18 months ago his parents threw themselves into raising money for horse welfare in his memory, as Hayden had always been passionate about animal welfare.
He was a well-known and popular competitor at their local Long Eaton Show, so they chose to sponsor his favourite Large In-Hand Mountain & Moorland showing class, and run a raffle in his memory.
An enormous number of prizes had been kindly donated by local businesses and individuals. Last year’s result was amazing, but this year the raffle raised a staggering £1,000 which has once again been gratefully received by the BHS Welfare Department and will be put to good use.
The winner of the Hayden Middleton Memorial Trophy class was Lucy Taylor-Ryanwyn and the 20 year old ‘Theaden’, with Sarah Jarman and ’Abergavenny Ultimate Dream’ in second place.
