The British Horse Society and The North West Coastal Forum are working together to establish a North West Coastal Trail which would include access for equestrians. But we need to prove demand for this route and as a result this survey has been launced to find out about existing horse riding access and opportunities for access on the North West coast.
We will use the information to help develop better access for horse-riders in North West England. But we can’t do this without YOUR HELP! We need you to tell us where you ride on the coast, what’s good or bad about it and where it could be improved.
Please download the survey here or the NWCF secretariat Alasdair or Caroline can post out copies by calling 01519 342966.
Please return all response to Alasdair Lindop, North West Coastal Forum, c/o Sefton Council, Ainsdale Discovery Centre, The Promenade, Shore Road, Ainsdale on Sea, Southport, PR8 2QB or email them to firstname.lastname@example.org by the 31 March 2012. All responses received by this date will be entered into a prize draw for vouchers worth £50 for Derby House Saddlery and Equestrian Outfitters.
The North West Coastal Forum’s North West Coastal Trail project is a proposal for walking, cycling and riding access along the whole North West coast between Chester and Carlisle and will complement proposals for the English Coastal Route being developed under the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009.
