With just under a month to go, preparations are underway for the official horse show of The British Horse Society, the Longines Royal International Horse show – held on 25-30 July.
As always, the BHS will be there throughout the five days, with plenty going on at the stand. Visitors can follow the pathway outside of the marquee to see the BHS’ new Equine Excellence Pathway – and find their journey to becoming a Fellow.
The BHS are offering one lucky person, the opportunity for a lesson of a lifetime, with Fellow of the BHS, Yogi Breisner. All you need to do is enter the quiz on the stand, using our new look education books for reference.
Throughout the week, there will be a number of hobby horses all tacked up and ready to go, so you can try the new Ride Safe Award. Riders will need to navigate the obstacle course on their hobby horse – showing that they’re in control at all times. It’s a great activity for all the family, giving visitors a taster of the new Ride Safe Award.
Henry the mechanical horse will be making an appearance at the stand, come along and help the BHS ride 2026 miles all in aid of equestrian access. Our fantastic Accredited Professional Coaches will be on hand to assist you in your ride – and you’ll be able to speak to them about their journey to becoming a coach.
