We’re delighted that the 2015 British Horse Society National Convention, sponsored by SPILLERS, will be hosted by international show jumper Tim Stockdale at one of the country’s biggest equine colleges.
Tim will be taking us through coaching sessions with guinea pig horses and riders of varying levels as well as demonstrating training techniques on one of his own horses.
The day will finish with a panel discussing the controversial subject of the misuse of tack and training aids across all the disciplines as well as an opportunity for questions from the audience.
Taking place at Hartpury College on 2 March, the day is a great opportunity for coaches, riders and judges, and anyone who simply enjoys show jumping to learn from Tim. The day counts as CPD for BHS Registered Instructors.
Tim first represented Great Britain in 1988. He has now represented his country on over 50 occasions in Nations’ Cup teams including the 2002 World Equestrian Games, the 2008 Olympic Games in China and the 2009 European Championships.
In early 2010, he served as Chef d’Equipe for the victorious Great Britain team in the Nations’ Cup contest in Abu Dhabi.
For his outstanding services to equestrian sport, Tim was presented with the British Equestrian Federation’s Medal of Honour at the British Open Show Jumping Championships in April, 2010.
In 2006, he was awarded an Honorary Degree by Nottingham Trent University for services to equestrianism.
