Now in its sixth year, and growing in popularity year-on-year, the 2014 British Riding Clubs BE80(T) Championships sponsored by EquestrianClearance.com are just four weeks away.
The Championships are the culmination of the BE80(T) series of competitions which were brought in to develop amateur rider confidence and attract new members to British Eventing. Held at Brooksby Melton College on Saturday 27 September, this is the fourth year that the Leicestershire venue will host the BE80(T) Championships, exclusively for British Riding Club (BRC) members.
With 53 qualifiers and over 170 eligible competitors – qualification is still possible up until 2 September – there will be at least two sections running, with riders all vying for the fantastic prizes provided by EquestrianClearance.com.
The top 10 in each section will also enjoy a mounted prizegiving, with sashes and trophies for the winners.
“We are delighted to once again be returning to Brooksby for the BRC BE80 Championships,” said Laura Sanger of British Riding Clubs.
“Working alongside BE [British Eventing] for this series has given our members a fantastic opportunity to take part in affiliated eventing around the country, and the Championships will be the highlight of their competition year.
“Well done to everyone who has qualified, and we wish you all the very best at the Championships.”
The BE80(T) class is a Training Eventing class, for riders and horses at the introductory level of eventing.
The cross country fences and show jumps are set at the maximum height of 80cm, while riders also benefit from the added bonus of BE Accredited Coaches supporting competitors – hence the 'T' is for training. Find out more about the series.
