HRH the Princess Royal becomes Vice Patron

The Queen is now joined by HRH The Princess Royal as Vice-Patron of The British Horse Society; HM The Queen has been Patron since 1952.

The British Horse Society (BHS) is the UK’s largest equestrian charity with more than 96,000 members. The Society promotes and protects the interest of all horses and horse lovers across the UK. Its core focus is education, welfare, safety and equestrian rights of way.

Like Her Majesty The Queen, The Princess Royal has a keen interest in horses and the equestrian world

Last year, The Princess Royal received the BHS’ Queen Award for Equestrianism, recognising her achievements, both as a competitor and as a supporter.

The Princess Royal is Patron of The Pony Club, President of both World Horse Welfare and the RDA (Riding for Disabled) and is Vice-Patron of British Showjumping.
