Spring is on its way at last, and the BHS are working hard on arrangements for the forthcoming 71st Royal Windsor Horse Show, which runs from 14–18 May 2014.
Taking place in the stunning private grounds of Windsor Castle, the show is a spectacular event with a huge variety of equestrian sports and competitions. Displays include The Household Cavalry and The King’s Troop, The DAKS Pony Club Mounted Games and The Shetland Pony Grand National.
Dressage is also making a comeback to the show, after a four-year absence. The Grand Prix takes place on Thursday 15 May in the evening, with the Kur taking place 24 hours later on Friday 16 May. The CSI3 Show Jumping King’s Cup takes place on the evening of Saturday 15 May.
With over 200 shops to visit and a military zone to explore, there’s as much to do as there is to see!
The BHS is running a number of events during the show and are looking for volunteers to help us with catering by helping us provide our members with refreshments and look after our marquee.
We’re looking for enthusiastic members who are able to give up half a day (either morning or afternoon) to experience this incredible show with us.
In return for your volunteering, you’ll receive a day pass for the show to allow you to relax and enjoy all the events for the rest of the day you volunteer on. The days run from 9am-6pm.
If you're a member and you’d like to help us, please email Jeanette Poile at firstname.lastname@example.org stating which day(s) you would be available.
We’re looking forward to meeting you!
