Access & Rights of Way Administrator
Full Time (35 hours per week)
Salary: Competitive plus benefits
Based at our HQ near Stoneleigh, Warwickshire
The British Horse Society is the nation’s leading equine charity with a passion for horses that is backed by knowledge and expertise. The BHS represents and provides a range of services for horse riders, horse owners, enthusiasts and professionals.
We are the leading charity working to protect, extend and promote safe access for equestrians throughout the United Kingdom. As the biggest voice for equestrians on access matters, you will be joining a small but highly successful team who, alongside their network of trained volunteers react quickly and effectively on threats to equestrian access, and work to extend, link up and increase places to ride and carriage drive for all equestrians.
As a member of the Access team this key role will involve daily administrative duties including hard copy and digital data processing, processing of purchase orders and invoices, along with proactive recruitment and support of volunteers and equestrian access groups. You will organise and facilitate training days and attendance at occasional external events will be required. You will provide advice to members of the public alongside the support of the team and get involved in the administrative processes involved in our campaign and lobbying work.
You will be an enthusiastic, highly organised team player, with excellent verbal and face to face communication skills. You will have proven experience of accurate data inputting, database use, and knowledge of GDPR compliance.
Although equestrian and/or access and rights of way knowledge is beneficial in this role, this is not essential and training could be provided for the right candidate.
To apply, please provide a covering letter (including your salary expectations) and CV, highlighting relevant skills and experience and send along with your application to firstname.lastname@example.org or to Karen Downing, Recruitment, The British Horse Society, Abbey Park, Kenilworth, CV8 2XZ.
