Fixed Term Position to Cover Maternity Leave – 12 months

Full-time, 35 hours per week

Based at BHS HQ near Stoneleigh, Warwickshire

The British Horse Society is the nation’s leading equine charity with a passion for horses that is backed by knowledge and expertise. The BHS represents and provides a range of services for horse riders, horse owners, enthusiasts and professionals.

Utilising the remarkable role and positive impact horses have in re-engaging people through developing their character, self-esteem and key life skills, the BHS are seeking to appoint an individual to maintain and continue coordination of our growing Changing Lives Through Horses programme.

Accessed through our BHS Approved Centres, this programme focuses upon helping young people towards returning to and/or remaining in education, employment or training with a key speciality being the allowance for them to learn in an equestrian environment

A strong customer focus with an innovative and supportive approach to work is required, combined with experience of managing and developing educational programmes across multiple centres. Knowledge of the equestrian industry is essential.

Responsibilities will include working internal departments, centres and trainers to deliver, co-ordinate, monitor and evaluate the programme. You will also be required to provide regular reports on programme progress to the society and programme funders.

This role will be based at the BHS Headquarters and will involve some UK travel due to the requirement to visit and support our BHS Approved Centres. You must have a flexible approach to working.

You will be committed to the delivery of The British Horse Society's Mission, Vision and Strategy across all areas of the Society’s work.
