The British Horse Society takes equality very seriously.

- To ensure that all people, irrespective of race, gender, ability, ethnic origin, social status or sexual orientation, have equal opportunities in equestrianism at all levels and in all roles
- To educate and guide our members, their employees and volunteers on the ownership, adoption and implementation of our Equality Policy
- To raise awareness of equality through the implementation of the policy and the adoption of our Equality Action Plan
- To monitor, review and evaluate progress in achieving the stated aims and objectives and to feed back to member organisations on progress made.
We will ensure that our recruitment and selection procedures are fair and transparent, and that they meet the appropriate legal requirements.
