On Sunday 3 June join us for a scenic two and a half hour ride in Carmarthenshire. Starting from the Coach House in Pumsaint, riders will enjoy beautiful scenic views and explore Cothi Forest, on the Dolaucothi National Trust estate.
The Dolaucothi Mines located within the National Trust Estate are the only mines for Welsh gold outside of Dolgellau. They are also the only known Roman gold mines in Britain.
The route itself takes you through some of the most beautiful areas in Carmarthenshire, from the Cothi river valley with stunning views towards Llandeilo and an opportunity to see wildlife at its best from buzzards and red kites to the occasional red squirrel if you are lucky.
Dolaucothi Estate which is owned by the National Trust is situated about one mile north west of the village of Caio in the upper reaches of the picturesque Cothi valley near Pumsaint Carmarthenshire The name Dolaucothi means ‘the meadows of the Cothi’ as the estate stands close to the banks of the fast flowing River Cothi. 10k hack - the route will be marked and stewards on line/track junctions.
Registration starts: at 9 for a 9.30am - 1.30pm.
Cost: £10 per rider which includes refreshments and a rosette.
