This training day, presented by Jo Winfield FBHS, is for those holding their BHSAI or PT, and is aimed at developing skills for teaching mixed groups of horses and riders. It will also be very useful for those with Stage 2 who are training towards their PTT and are looking to develop their knowledge base. The day counts as CPD for registered instructors up to BHSAI level.
For many instructors, teaching grassroots group lessons makes up a large part of their working week. This might be in a riding school, with adults and children, or freelancing at Pony Clubs and Riding Clubs, and it is often the case that the ability of riders, and indeed horses, across the group varies hugely. This training day is aimed at helping instructors successfully teach groups by engaging with different abilities and levels of confidence, handling the variety of horses and ponies, keeping things enjoyable for every client, and ensuring everyone learns along the way!
Jo Winfield FBHS has a wealth of experience in both coaching riders and training instructors. She teaches competitive and grassroots riders alike, and teaches many Riding Clubs and BHS clinics so is the ideal presenter for this training day.
Time: 9.30am - 4pm.
