Learn how to walk a show jumping course with international eventer and showjumper Warren Lamperd, a UKCC3 British Showjumping Coach.
This workshop will involve insight and tips of how to walk a showjumping course in preparation for a clear round. Warren’s extensive showjumping and coaching experience has proven invaluable to all his previous pupils, and he was the hugely popular jumping coach on the BHS South Camp in 2015.
A full showjumping course will be set up in the arena. Participants will walk the course with Warren, learning the lines and stride patterns he would suggest and how best to ride the course. Then watch the course jumped by a horse and a pony whilst Warren talks you through their rounds. Compare their different approaches and learn what Warren feels are their riders’ strengths and areas for improvement, before a final Q&A session.
Warren Lamperd has evented and showjumped internationally, representing his home nation of Australia. He completed Burghley 2015 on Silvia, a mare he produced from scratch. Warren is hugely passionate about coaching, being one of the only people to hold UKCC 3 in both eventing and showjumping, as well as earning a Masters in Coaching Science.
