Promoting access to Sports Psychology for all interested in finding out more about Sports Psychology? Ever wondered if using some sports psychology techniques might help you improve your performance? Struggling with nerves or stress when at home or at a competition? Thought about sports psychology but not sure if it is for you?Feel that you are not competing at a high enough level to justify seeing a sports psychologist? Thought about Sports Psychology but not sure if you afford it or justify it? Then Sports Psychology club is your answer.
This is club is expressly for anyone who answers yes to the above questions. This is for anyone competing at grassroots level and up and will be focussed on providing an initial introduction to the concept of Sports Psychology and some of the techniques and strategies involved. Anyone welcome whatever level they are competing at, but the focus will be on more grassroots sport. The club is designed to be highly interactive with a maximum number of 12 places per group.
Each club will meet for five consecutive weeks until 13 June each Monday evening except the Bank Holiday Monday.
Time 6pm - 8pm.
Initial groups will be in the RG20 area. Participants must be able to join all five sessions. Sessions will be deliberately structured so that people can meet, share and make friends through the groups. Groups will be sport type specific starting initially with equestrian only groups. The first group will start in May 2016.
