Three specialists present on equine teeth, feet and backs - equine dental technician Matt Moister, remedial farrier Daniel Harman and equine physical therapist Jo Rose.
Find out about signs to look out for that may indicate problems, and what you can do to prevent them. Learn how problems in the back can lead to foot and teeth imbalances, and how problems in the feet and teeth can lead to back issues.
The day will include some hands on exercises, and the farriery session will include a demonstration dissection of the lower leg.
The day runs from 9.45am to 2.30pm, and places cost £35 per person. Places must be booked in advance - please contact Jo, whose details are listed on the right.
Jo Rose, BHS Intermediate Teacher / UKCC3, AMCST, has been running workshops and training courses in equine behaviour and alternative therapies for almost 10 years. Her aim is to bring like minded people together to develop their understanding of horses. Group sizes are kept small, and workshops are aimed at anyone interested in horses, maintaining a friendly and informal atmosphere, so participants feel comfortable to either come with friends or by themselves. Jo runs her courses from a comfortable classroom space on her farm near Chinnor, Oxon.
A proportion of course fees from BHS members will go to BHS Oxfordshire to help horses in need.
