BHS Stage 1 Training

26 Feb 2017

Categories:

Training people and horses since the early 1970s, Wellington Riding is one of the UK’s biggest and best-known equestrian centres. Set in 300 acres of the Duke of Wellington’s beautiful Hampshire estate, we are a British Horse Society Approved Riding School, Livery Yard and ‘Where to Train’ Centre to BHSI.

The BHS Stage 1 is suitable for anyone aged 14 years and over who cares for and/or rides horses regularly. It is designed to give you a good foundation of equine knowledge and a solid base on which to build your riding skills.

Why should you do the BHS Stage 1?

Working towards and completing a qualification is a great way to learn new skills and increase your motivation and self-confidence. The skills and knowledge you acquire whilst working towards this qualification will contribute to the increased safety for yourself and horses. The Stage 1 is also the first rung on the professional ladder of BHS qualifications, and is a recognised qualification. Training for BHS Stage 1 course starts on Sunday 26 February 2017.

Time: 2.30pm each Sunday for six weeks

Cost:

  • £30 per one and half hour session to include riding and stable management
  • The cost for six sessions for test 1 is £120 if paid in advance, or you can do it at your own pace for £25 per session

Assessment lesson required in advance.
