BHS Dressage Camp

For the first time the British Horse Society have teamed up with the prestigious AM Dressage to offer our members the opportunity to attend a three day dressage camp.

AM Dressage was founded by International dressage riders and trainers Adam Kemp FBHS and Matt Frost and have grown into one of the most sought after training facilities in the country which boasts a wonderful environment for learning.  AM Dressage offers a comprehensive approach to dressage training for riders of all levels.

This camp will be tailored to suit the needs of the participants, but will typically include a selection of the following:

Individual Lessons on your own horse.
Opportunity to watch others ride, and learn from their instruction.
Daily seminars.
Group discussions about various aspects of training.
Watch us ride your horse, with discussion.
Planning and feedback sessions.
Dressage theory discussions.
Watching Adam and Matt ride their own horses, discussing what they working on. They may demonstrate things that are relevant to your own horses.
Analytical video sessions.
Sport psychology sessions.
Test riding sessions with a BD judge.
Horse care and management sessions.
Goal setting meeting.

The camp will be jam-packed with learning opportunities. You will be under various forms of coaching for around 7 hours each day. The courses are great fun and very social in the evening.

You will arrive on the afternoon of Friday 29 April to get your horse settled into their stable before having dinner together with the AM Dressage Team. You will get your schedule of lessons for the next three days and departure will be on the afternoon of Monday 2 May.

Meals - 3 meals per day are provided and are included in the course fee.

Accommodation - If you are staying on site in your lorry, electric hook up is charged at £12 per day. Three twin rooms are available on site at a cost of £25 + VAT per person per day. Alternatively, there are a number of bed and breakfast places locally.

Cost - The camp costs £420 and will include all lessons, meals, stabling, bedding as supplied (straw or shavings) and hay. Any additional bedding that is required will be charged. Friends and family may come to watch and will be charged at £40 per day.

If your horse is on forage other than hay, please bring this with you.
