With the right to ride and handle horses both on and off road comes great responsibility. Reduce your risk every time you venture out with your horse by learning how to prevent accidents, risk assess, and work with partners positively. Learn what is considered good behaviour in other users of our roads and the countryside too and therefore maximise your chances of a nice ride every time at this Morayshire event.
Do you ride on the road or in the Scottish countryside? If so, do you know your rights, responsibilities and the law? Do you ride on the pavement, ride two abreast, use a mobile when riding a horse or have you suffered from road rage and dangerous driving? Have you had issues with dogs when riding? Keen to learn more about riding and roadcraft, how to report incidents and ensure you are covered in the event of an accident?
BHS Scotland invite all horse owners and riders to come along to hear more from the experts - lawyer Anne Chapman from Anderson Strathern, BHS Director of Safety Alan Hiscox and Lisa Dunlop from Police Scotland, who will cover the law when riding on the road. Also present will be Helene Mauchlen from BHS Scotland.
Entry is free and tea/coffee is included.
The talk will begin at 7pm promptly. Spaces are limited so please book in advance. To book, or for more information, please email email@example.com.
