Protecting and Safeguarding Children Course

17 Aug 2017 18:00 - 21:00

17 August 2017 at The Cabin EC

Children and young people are the future of our industry, we all have a duty to safeguard their welfare and they have a right to enjoy equestrianism in a fun and safe environment and be protected from harm.

All Accredited Professional Coaches are required to complete a safeguarding course in order to be listed on the register. This revamped BEF safeguarding course is valid for three years. There will be a phasing in period where Accredited Professional Coaches will be asked to complete a course by a certain date, depending on their
existing course date.

The course, which is open to everyone who works or volunteers with children, is three hours long and all course material is provided. It will be delivered by a current SportsScotland coach.

Cost: Free for BHS Accredited Professional Coaches, £20 for all others
