BHS Ayrshire are proud to announce a “Lungeing Demonstration” with Sheila Thom (BHS Stage 5 Performance Coach in Complete Horsemanship)
The evening shall last for approximately 1½ hours. This evening will cover the basics of lungeing, including how to tack a horse up for lungeing, the equipment required for lungeing, how to lunge, the use of side reins and much more.
There will be plenty of time for discussion and questions during this informal session within the main arena at Muirmill.
The evening shall be split into 3 sessions:
Part 1: The basics of lungeing: getting started and dealing with common problems (the less experienced lungeing horse);
Part 2: Getting the most from lungeing: How to improve outline and suppleness (the more experienced lungeing horse);
Part 3: Ridden exercises on the lunge - tips to improve rider position, balance and core stability (Rider on the lunge).
The cost for the evening is £8 and is open to all. Spaces will be limited and will be dealt with on a first come first served basis. Entries can be made online
